asked the Minister for Local Government (a) the number of persons living in private households, and (b) the percentage of those who are living at least two per room.

According to the Census of 1961, there were at that time 2,686,301 persons living in private households and 17.8 per cent of these persons were living in dwellings having two or more persons per room.
