Vol. 233 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Revenue Certificates.

44.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in respect of each of the last three years the number and value of certificates lodged with sheriffs and county registrars by the Revenue Commissioners for the collection of arrears of (a) income tax and (b) turnover tax.

As the reply contains a tabular statement, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to have it circulated with the Official Report.

Following is the reply:—

The number of certificates issued is not readily available and separate records are not kept for income tax.

The number of cases in which certificates have been issued to the sheriffs and county registrars, and the value thereof, during each of the three years to 31st March, 1968, are:—
