asked the Minister for External Affairs if any aid is being sent from this country to help the suffering people of Vietnam; if so, by whom; and to what amount.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Aid for Vietnam.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to his question on 14th February last in which I stated that Irish aid for Vietnam of which I am aware is being channelled through the Irish Red Cross Society and the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva and also through Caritas Internationalis.
I am informed that to date the Irish Red Cross Society have sent £8,308 through the Red Cross in Geneva but I have no details of the amounts of private subscriptions sent through other organisations.
