Vol. 233 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Plywood Factory.

78.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the present position regarding the establishment of a plywood factory at Limerick.

I understand that two of the original foreign promoters have indicated that, for reasons connected with their businesses in their own countries, they are not now in a position to proceed with their plans for the establishment of a plywood factory in Ireland. The Irish promoters are, however, endeavouring, with the aid of the Industrial Development Authority, to interest other parties in a revised project.

What was the nationality of the foreign promoters the Minister has referred to?

Israeli and Belgian.
