Vol. 234 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Corporation Tenant Purchase Scheme.

26.

asked the Minister for Local Government how many Dublin Corporation tenants have been invited to purchase their houses.

27.

asked the Minister for Local Government what proportion of Dublin Corporation houses have been valued by Corporation officials under the tenant purchase scheme.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 26 and 27 together.

I understand that Dublin Corporation asked 31,788 tenants of houses, by circular, whether they wished to purchase their houses. Some 4,626 tenants replied in the affirmative up to 10th May and so far 1,908 of these have had their houses valued by the corporation.
