asked the Minister for Finance if he will reconcile the figure for the service of public debt given in the current Budget tables for 1968-69 as £74.96 million with the figure of £64 million given in the Estimates of Receipts and Expenditure for the same year as covering the cost of Central Fund Services, excluding payments to the Road Fund for 1968-69.

The estimate of £74.96 million for the service of the public debt for 1968-69 published in the current Budget tables includes a sum of £63.6 million to be charged directly on the Central Fund and a sum of £11.36 million included in the estimates of £257.37 million for non-capital Supply Services. The sum of £11.36 million is made up as follows:
