Vol. 235 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Employment Exchange.

32

asked the Minister for Labour if he is aware that unemployed men have often to wait upwards of two hours at Werburgh Street employment exchange, Dublin for attention; and when extra staff will be provided and other steps taken to remedy the situation.

I am not so aware. The normal time taken to deal with a caller at the exchange is from ten to 20 minutes.

The staffing of all employment exchanges is reviewed weekly and additional staff is immediately made available where necessary. If the Deputy wishes to make a complaint of excessive delay in a particular case, I shall investigate it.

I have several.

Would the Deputy let me know the details? It should not happen.
