The Deputy will, no doubt, have seen the recent report by the Institute of Public Administration which I commissioned with a view to the reorganisation of the placement and guidance functions of the employment service. The report is at present being examined in the various Departments concerned and I hope to be in a position to take decisions for the long-term development of the service within the next few months.
