Vol. 236 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Confiscation of Gifts.

44.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that a girl (name supplied) who celebrated her 21st birthday in Manchester, where all her brothers and sisters reside, had her birthday presents confiscated by the customs authorities at Dún Laoghaire on 13th June, 1968; and if he will have those gifts returned immediately to the person in question.

I do not necessarily accept all the implications of the question having regard to the report of the incident which I have received from the Revenue Commissioners and I propose in this case to communicate directly with the Deputy.
