Since 1st February, 1968, major reconstruction works costing over £1,000 in each case have commenced at approximately 90 national schools. There may be other cases of which the Commissioners of Public Works are not yet aware where the managers have made their own arrangements to have works put in hands under the authority granted by the Minister for Education in September, 1967.
