Vol. 236 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Potez Industries of Ireland.

86.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce what grants or loans were made to Potez Industries of Ireland Limited since its incorporation on the 19th April 1960; and the amount and date of payment of each such loan or grant.

The total amount of grants paid by An Foras Tionscal to this company was £539,800. This sum was paid in 17 instalments between 28th August, 1961, and 24th July, 1967. The responsibility for State loans is not mine. I am informed, however, that a loan of £150,000 was made by the Industrial Credit Company to Potez Industries of Ireland, but I have no information as to the date of payment. I am also informed that a loan of £18,000 was made available to this company from the Regional Development Fund in two instalments in January and March, 1968.
