Vol. 236 No. 10

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order— Nos. 3 and 6 and in 6 Votes 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25, No. 8—Votes 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32 and 33. Private Members' Business will be taken from 6 to 7.30 p.m.

(South Tipperary): May I inquire when it is likely that I will be given time to discuss No. 35 on the Order Paper? It is a matter of some importance and the Taoiseach promised me some time last May or June that I would be given Government time to discuss this matter which concerns the Committee of Public Accounts.

I am not in a position to answer that question. The Deputy may take it up with the Parliamentary Secretary to the Taoiseach.

I did not hear the Tánaiste correctly in relation to the Order of Business. What is the first item?

The first item is No. 3, a Supplementary Estimate.

Nos. 3 and 6. In 6 Votes 20 to 25 inclusive; No. 8, Votes 27 to 33 inclusive.

On behalf of Deputy T.F. O'Higgins may I ask permission from you for him to raise on the Adjournment this evening the action taken by the Minister in relation to certain objections to the employment of an individual on the referendum counting staff for the Laois-Offaly Constituency?

The Chair will communicate with Deputy O'Higgins.
