Vol. 237 No. 6

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Clonskeagh (Dublin) Fever Hospital.

86.

asked the Minister for Health what action has been taken in regard to the establishment of Clonskeagh Fever Hospital, Dublin, as a mental hospital; and when it is proposed to open the hospital in this capacity.

I have agreed in principle that portion of Clonskeagh Fever Hospital should become a psychiatric unit. The matter is being discussed with the Dublin Health Authority but I am not yet in a position to say when the unit will be opened.

Do we take it that Clonskeagh will continue as a fever hospital?
