Vol. 237 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fermoy (Cork) Industrial Development.

141.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, as a result of his information and my repeated requests to his Department on the claim of Fermoy town, County Cork, to be considered for industrial development, he will state if Fermoy town's claim is being kept in the forefront of the priorities of the Industrial Development Authority.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to a similar question by him on 6th June, 1968. I can assure the Deputy that I am well aware of the need for establishing new industries in Fermoy and other areas and any sound proposals by local or other interests for the establishment of industries in Fermoy will receive all possible assistance from my Department and from the Industrial Development Authority.
