Vol. 237 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Psychiatrically Disturbed Children.

76.

asked the Minister for Health whether there is any unit for psychiatrically disturbed children in this country; and, if not, whether he has any proposals to set up one.

There is a unit for mentally ill children at St. Loman's Hospital, Ballyowen, County Dublin. A new unit for mentally ill children is being built in Dublin and should be ready next year. Further residential accommodation for such children will also be provided in Cork.
