asked the Minister for Defence what allowance is paid to members of the Defence Forces on transfer; when it was last fixed; how it was calculated; and if it will now be increased particularly for ranks for whom married accommodation is not available from the Army.
Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Defence Force Allowance.
22.
In the case of a member of the Permanent Defence Force who is transferred to a new station existing arrangements of long standing provide for
1. the conveyance at the public expense of furniture and effects,
2. the issue of free travelling warrants; and
3. the payment of subsistence allowance if temporary overnight accommodation has to be availed of during removal.
The question of introducing a more comprehensive scheme of removal expenses in connection with permanent transfers of station is at present being considered.
