Vol. 238 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clontarf Postal Service.

27.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will consider the provision of a sub postoffice at Castle Estate, Clontarf, Dublin; and if he is aware of the widespread demand among residents for this service.

The provision of a sub postoffice at the place mentioned has already been carefully considered but the existing postal facilities in the area are regarded as adequate.

Can the Parliamentary Secretary say that legal problems are preventing this?

I did not mention legal problems. Perhaps I should read the reply again for the Deputy: The provision of a sub postoffice at the place mentioned has already been carefully considered but the existing postal facilities in the area are regarded as adequate.

Obviously, the residents do not regard them as being adequate.
