Vol. 238 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unemployment Signing Centre in Bonane (Kerry).

63.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will give serious and special consideration to establishing a signing centre in Bonane post office, Kenmare, County Kerry, as a large number of people in the area have to travel over eight miles to Kenmare to have their unemployment certified.

A request for the establishment of a signing centre at Bonane Post Office was examined following a similar question put down by the Deputy just a year ago. As he is aware it was not found practicable at that time to meet the request. I am having the matter looked at again and will advise the Deputy of the outcome.
