asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will arrange to amend the social welfare code to provide for the payment of mortality benefit to relatives of insured workers.

The Social Welfare (Amendment) Bill, 1969, which was introduced on the 21st January, 1969, will provide inter alia for a scheme of death grants payable on the deaths of insured persons and certain of their dependants.
