Vol. 239 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clondalkin (Dublin) Garda Patrol.

27.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will make arrangements to have a Garda patrol car stationed at Clondalkin, County Dublin.

Under present arrangements, the sub-district of Clondalkin is covered both by the patrol car at Kilmainham and also by the patrol car at Chapelizod. There is an official 500 cc motor cycle at Clondalkin.

The question of allocating a separate car to Clondalkin will be examined as soon as there is an over-all increase in the number of cars provided for the Force.

The Minister is aware of the enormous size of the district which has to be covered and he is also aware of the huge population of the area and in view of this does he not think that a car should be provided?

When extra cars are available, we will see.

Question Nos. 28 and 29 postponed.
