Vol. 241 No. 6

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - South-West Cork Rural Electrification.

50.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power what plans the Electricity Supply Board have for expanding power supplies in the southwest Cork area during the current year.

I am informed by the ESB that the two rural areas in south-west Cork in which construction work under the rural electrification postdevelopment scheme will be carried out in the current financial year, ending 31st March, 1970, are Ballyvourney and Castleownbere. In the same period, the board hope to carry out a canvass under the scheme in the rural areas of Cahermore, Bere Island, Dunbeacon and Tarelton.
