asked the Minister for Transport and Power what functions, if any, his Department have in relation to decisions by IATA which affect Ireland's national airlines.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - IATA Decisions.
55.
Decisions of IATA represent the unanimous agreement of its member airlines. My approval is required under the Air Navigation and Transport Act, 1965, for rates and fares charged on air services between Ireland and points abroad. In the exercise of this function I normally have regard to the decisions of IATA with which of course our national airline agrees.
