Vol. 242 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clondalkin (Dublin) Garda Supervision.

19.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will take steps to see that there is a sufficient Garda force on duty in the centre of Clondalkin, and on Monastery Road, Clondalkin, County Dublin, on Saturday nights so as to prevent acts of rowdyism now being carried out in the vicinity each Saturday night.

The commissioner of the Garda Síochána has informed me that conditions on Saturday nights at the places mentioned are not a serious problem, and that existing Garda patrols are adequate.

A car was recently allocated to Clondalkin station and this will increase the effectiveness of Garda supervision in the area.
