Vol. 242 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballyfermot (Dublin) Population.

1.

asked the Taoiseach what is the latest available population figures for Ballyfermot, Dublin, that is the area of the Ballyfermot ward excluding Bluebell and the part of Walkinstown included in that ward.

Bluebell and Walkinstown are not denominations of areas for the purpose of the collection of population statistics. However, these areas appear to correspond with that portion of Ballyfermot ward lying south of the Grand Canal.

The population of that portion of Ballyfermot ward north of the Grand Canal at the census of population, 1966, was 25,394 persons.
