Vol. 242 No. 9

Ceisteann—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Estate.

57.

asked the Minister for Lands the cause of the delay by the Land Commission in dividing the John F. O'Connor Estate at Inchincummer, Currow, Farranfore, County Kerry, which was to be divided this year.

It is hoped to divide this 42 acre holding in the coming spring. The preparation of resale plans was deferred in the expectation that it would be possible to secure another holding for division in the locality—thus enabling a more balanced scheme of land settlement to be implemented. This, however, has not proved feasible—and the O'Connor estate will now be allotted on its own.
