Vol. 242 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Central Heating Units.

75.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that a firm (name supplied) installed a central heating unit which proved to be defective; and that they were subsequently unable to properly service the equipment; if his Department has received any complaints about such units; and if there is any action he can take to protect the consumer in cases like this.

I have no information about the central heating unit in question. I have received two complaints in regard to other central heating units which, on investigation, were not pursued by the complainants.

If the Deputy will supply me with details of the present case I will have it investigated.
