Vol. 243 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Botanic Garden Lands.

27.

asked the Minister for Local Government if it is proposed to erect Dublin Corporation dwellings on any portion of the land now occupied by the Botanic Gardens, Dublin; and, if so, if he will give details.

I am not aware of any such proposal.

Would the Minister initiate proposals for the erection of dwellings on this land which has been vacated by the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries?

I did not hear the first part of the Deputy's question.

Would the Minister consider recommending the erection of corporation dwellings on this land?

It will be left vacant?

No, I do not think it will be left vacant. I should hate to see the Botanic Gardens going as the Deputy seems to want them to go.
