Vol. 243 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rathmines Town Hall (Dublin) Renovation.

72.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state the total cost of the renovation of the Assembly Hall in Rathmines Town Hall, Dublin, by the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee; and if he is satisfied that the best use has been made of this hall and the money expended.

The contract sum for the renovation and reconstruction of the hall in question was £8,999 9s 9d.

The scheme of reconstruction of the hall was decided on by the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee in order to provide necessary additional school accommodation and I am satisfied that the committee can be relied on to make the best possible use of the additional accommodation provided.
