asked the Minister for Local Government what is the present position regarding the housing scheme at Grangemockler, Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary; and when he expects work will commence.

No proposal for the provision of houses at Grangemockler has been submitted to my Department.

Has the Minister any information on the matter at present?

There is no proposal on the matter before my Department.

Has the Minister any communication from the county council in regard to the question put by Deputy Treacy?

Is this the first the Minister heard of it?

There is no proposal from the county council in relation to this matter.

Has there been any communication from the local authority?

What does the Deputy mean by "communication"?

There is a difference between a definite proposal and correspondence between a local authority and the Minister's Department.

I have not searched all the correspondence in my Department. I would not be in a position to say that.

How many civil servants has the Minister?

The civil servants are engaged——

On more important work. I could finish all the clichés for the Minister.

——on the different schemes and there is no proposal in respect of that particular matter before the Department.

asked the Minister for Local Government what is the present position regarding the proposed housing scheme at Kilmacomma, Clonmel; if he will state the number of houses involved; and when work is likely to commence.

Work was started recently on a scheme of six houses at Kilmacomma.
