Vol. 243 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions, Oral Answers. - Kilmainham Trust Fund.

42.

asked the Minister for Finance how much money there is now in the Kilmainham Trust Fund, including accumulated interest; the legal fees and costs and expenses and moneys paid out of it to date; and when it is intended to pay out the balance to the Army and old IRA disability pensioners as provided for in the High Court ruling.

I would refer the Deputy to the information in regard to the Royal Hospital Kilmainham trust fund given in my reply of 3rd April, 1968. The accounts of the fund are not held in my Department and particulars of the amounts held in it are not readily available. The scheme for the management and application of the trust fund ordered by the High Court has yet to be completed. Only when this has been done will it be possible to say what amount will be available to provide benefits under the scheme.

Question No. 43.

Where is Deputy Sweetman?

This question was postponed yesterday and now we know why it was postponed.

I will ask the question.
