The reply includes a tabular statement, which I propose with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate with the Official Report.
I have on a number of occasions publicly expressed my dissatisfaction with the slow progress made by local authorities in providing serviced sites. I am glad to say, however, that in response to my recent efforts further sites in addition to those shown on the statement are being provided in a number of areas. These will accommodate 61 more families.
I shall continue to press local authorities, especially those who have not yet provided camping sites, to face up to their responsibilities in this matter.
