The increases in pay recommended by the commission were approved by the Government on the 3rd February, and arrangements are in progress to have the necessary money provided by way of a Supplementary Estimate for the Garda Síochána Vote. I expect that the Supplementary Estimate will be introduced next week, and that payments will be made before the end of the present financial year.
