asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is satisfied that insurance companies pay sufficient attention to fire resistance of building structure when assessing premiums.

I understand that the insurance companies pay particular attention to the standard of construction when fixing premium rates for buildings. Increases or decreases in the basic premium, within a fairly wide range, are applied depending on whether the buildings are above or below a certain standard of construction.
