Vol. 244 No. 8

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Blackrock (Dublin) Vocational School.

116.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the need for a new and fully equipped vocational school at Blackrock, County Dublin; and if he has any plans in his Department for the provision of such a school.

An application made by the Borough of Dún Laoghaire Vocational Educational Committee for a new vocational school in Blackrock is at present under consideration by the advisory council set up to consider all matters relating to post-primary accommodation needs in the greater Dublin area. I understand that the advisory council has asked the Vocational Educational Committee to supply some further information, and that the application will be considered again on receipt of this information.
