asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of Tipperary South Riding County Council, Clonmel Corporation and Cashel, Tipperary and Carrick-on-Suir Urban Councils for the last ten years (1) the total number of local authority houses provided during each financial year by each authority, (2) the total number provided at 31st March of each year, (3) the total number vested on 31st March, 1969, and (4) the total number sold, instalment leased or let by each authority on 31st March, 1969.

As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to have it circulated with the Official Report.

The number of dwellings shown as having been provided at the end of a particular year may not, for various reasons, be the same as the aggregate of the numbers provided at the end of, and during, the preceding year.

12.

asked the Minister for Local Government the amount of capital moneys spent on the provision of local authority housing accommodation in (a) Dublin city and (b) Dublin county since 1957.

The amount of capital expenditure on the provision of local authority housing, including the acquisition of land for housing, in the financial years 1956-57 to 1968-69 inclusive was approximately £42 million in Dublin city and approximately £6 million in Dublin county including Dún Laoghaire Borough. The amount of capital allocated for this purpose so far in the current financial year is £6.7 million in Dublin city and £1 million in Dublin county, including Dún Laoghaire.
