Vol. 245 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Warble Fly Scheme.

9.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries the reason for the delay by his Department in dressing warble fly infested cattle in Longford-Westmeath; and if he is aware of the serious breakdown in the scheme in these counties.

A sudden heavy demand for warble dressing in Counties Longford and Westmeath has given rise to temporary operational difficulties. These difficulties do not, however, amount to a serious breakdown of the scheme as alleged by the Deputy. Additional staff have been assigned to cope with the situation.
