Vol. 245 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Roscommon Industry.

34.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce what success he has had in his efforts to attract a suitable new industry to Roscommon to alleviate the hardship caused by the recent closing down of a firm (name supplied).

As I stated in reply to a question from the Deputy on 26th February, I asked the Industrial Development Authority as a matter of urgency to seek to attract a new industry to Roscommon. I am aware that certain parties have shown interest in establishing another enterprise there but I am not yet in a position to make a more definite statement in the matter.
