Returns to Writs: Kildare and Longford-Westmeath. - Introduction of New Members.

The Clerk of the Dáil made the following announcement:
I gcomhlíonadh Bhuan-Ordú 138 de Bhuan-Orduithe Dháil Éireann i dtaobh Gnó Phoiblí, tá orm a chraoladh go ndearnadh, sna Corrthoghcáin a bhí ann an 14 Aibreán, 1970, de chionn an Teachta Gearóid Suatman agus an Teachta Pádraig Ó Luineacháin d'fháil bháis, na comhaltaí seo a leanas a thoghadh don Dáil:

Pádraig Ó Maoil Eoin.
Dáilcheantar An Longfort-An
Iarmhí ... Pádraig Ó Cuana
In compliance with Standing Order 138 of the Standing Orders of Dáil Éireann relative to Public Business, I have to announce that at the By-Elections held on 14th April, 1970, consequent on the deaths of Deputies Gerard Sweetman and Patrick J. Lenihan, the following members have been elected to the Dáil:
Constituency of Kildare.....
Patrick Malone.
Constituency of Longford-Westmeath Patrick Mark Cooney.
Deputy Patrick Malone, the new Member for the Constituency of Kildare, and Deputy Patrick Mark Cooney, the new Member for the Constituency of Longford-Westmeath, were introduced to the Ceann Comhairle by Deputy R. Burke.
