Vol. 245 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Arklow Garda Patrol Car.

1.

asked the Minister for Justice when he will have a Garda patrol car provided for Arklow, County Wicklow.

The Arklow area is patrolled by a Garda car from the district headquarters at Gorey. There is also a motor-cycle at Arklow station, and the commissioner does not consider a car necessary at present.

The strength of the Garda at Arklow has been increased this month by two additional gardaí, and is now 2 sergeants and 12 gardaí. The commissioner is satisfied as to the adequacy of this strength and of the transport available.
