It will be necessary to hold a public local inquiry in connection with the petition of the Drogheda Corporation for an extension of the boundaries of the town. The holding of an inquiry was deferred to enable Meath County Council to prepare their case against the proposal. A submission from the council was recently received in my Department and arrangements for the holding of the inquiry will be made as soon as possible.
