Vol. 247 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - St. Brendan's Hospital, Dublin.

7.

asked the Minister for Health what proposals, if any, have been made to his Department for the use as a community type centre for the area, of the technical professional and physical amenities at St. Brendan's Hospital, Dublin following its run down as a large custodial psychiatric institution.

No proposals have been made to my Department in connection with the use of premises at St. Brendan's as a community centre for the area, but I understand that certain facilities in the hospital have been made available to the local community and discussions are going on regarding the use of a recreational hall.
