asked the Minister for Local Government in respect of each of the last three years the amounts collected in motor taxation in the City and County of Dublin; and the amounts out of the road fund spent in the same years in the same area.

Note 1; The sums shown as “amount collected” are the amounts collected by Dublin Corporation and lodged to the local motor taxation account.

Note 2: The payments are payments from the Road Fund to the local authorities and do not necessarily include all expenditure by the local authorities ranking for recoupment. They are based on claims submitted after the expenditure is incurred. Expenditure was less than the allocations for those years but the unspent balances are available for expenditure in coming years.
