Vol. 247 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Prize Bonds.

30.

Mr. Dunne

asked the Minister for Finance if he will make a statement regarding the issue of prize bonds to those who purchased immediately before the closure of the Bank of Ireland; and whether a number of draws will be made in lieu of the monthly draw when the banks reopen.

All prize bonds purchased during the March/April issue period will be forwarded to the purchasers as soon as possible after the Bank of Ireland resumes normal services.

Draws will be made as soon as feasible in respect of all months which have been missed but the draw in respect of the month of July and subsequent months will not be held until all bonds purchased in March/April have been issued as such bonds will become eligible for inclusion in the draws from July onwards.
