Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rates Due by Land Commission.

39.

asked the Minister for Lands what amount of rates for the year 1969-70 are outstanding to local authorities by the Land Commission, giving the amount due to each authority separately.

All rates clearly due by the Land Commission for the year ending 31st March, 1970, have been paid.

Demands outstanding are those for which Land Commission liability is not clear and which are the subject of correspondence with the relevant local authorities.

40.

asked the Minister for Lands the number of vacant buildings in County Meath in the possession of the Land Commission for which no rates are paid, and the approximate amount of rates.

There are 26 vacant buildings, including out-offices, in the possession of the Land Commission in County Meath, on which rates were not payable for the year ending 31st March, 1970.

The amount assessed on these buildings was £434.
