I do not accept that the 1969 certified seed potato crop has been of very poor quality. The certification standard was the same as in previous years and was strictly enforced. Certification indicates that at the time both of inspections of the growing crop and inspection of the tubers prior to the sacks being sealed the conditions for certification were fully complied with.
