asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he has made any grants available to the North Western Regional Tourism Organisation for the development of the Enniscrone, Strandhill, Rosses Point and Mullaghmore seaside resorts and also for the development of amenities at Lough Gill, Lough Key, Lough Arrow, Lough Allen, and other lakes.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Regional Tourism Grant.
Grants for resort development are given by Board Fáilte, who consult with the regional tourism organisations about the various projects. I am informed by the board that grants totalling £104,949 have been paid for development at the places mentioned in the question. As particulars of the grants are in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate it in the Official Report.
Following is the statement—

May I ask the Minister if he is aware that people from Counties Mayo, Roscommon and many other places frequent those areas and that, to my knowledge, toilet and other facilities at Enniscrone are out of order for the time being? Can the Minister say if he will take the necessary steps to ensure that these services will be provided without delay?
I agree with the Deputy but if he reads the tabular statement when it is circulated, he will realise that the £104,949 is fairly widely spread over the particular areas to which he refers.
Can the Minister say when the money will be spent?
It is in the course of being spent.
