asked the Minister for Local Government the total aggregate rents received by Dublin Corporation in 1969-70; and the total number of corporation dwellings and the average equivalent rent per week.

The total amount received in rents by Dublin Corporation in respect of dwellings let during 1969/70 was approximately £2,720,000 compared with nearly £4 million paid in subsidies from rates and central taxation. The average number of dwellings let by the corporation during the year was 45,028 and the average weekly rent per dwelling was £1 3s 3d exclusive of amount for rates.
