Vol. 248 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Nature Trails.

31.

asked the Minister for Lands if, in view of the widespread public approval of and welcome for the opening of the Bellevue Woods nature trail at Glen of the Down, County Wicklow, he has any further proposals to extend these developments in the Eastern Region.

Five further nature trails through State forests are scheduled for opening this month or early in August. These will be at Cruagh and Tibradden woods in the Pine Forest area of County Dublin, at Dunaree wood, Kingscourt, County Cavan, at Ravensdale wood, Dundalk, County Louth, and at Glengarriff, County Cork. Additionally, a number of trails have been opened in the John F. Kennedy Park, New Ross, County Wexford.

I am very heartened by the great interest the public is showing in the Bellevue trail.
