asked the Minister for Finance what is the present position regarding the drainage of the River Groody.

Following exhibition of the scheme and consideration of the observations received, the Commissioners of Public Works are now consulting other Government Departments concerned as required by the Act. The scheme will then be submitted to the Minister for Finance for formal confirmation with a view to starting work on the ground.

asked the Minister for Finance what is the present position regarding the drainage of the Mulcaire river.

The Mulcaire catchment has been surveyed and work is proceeding on the design of a drainage scheme.

45.

asked the Minister for Finance the present position regarding the drainage of the River Maigue.

An appeal has been lodged in the Supreme Court against the decision of the High Court in regard to this scheme.
