The number of persons in receipt of unemployment assistance is available only for local employment office areas. With your permission, Sir, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing for the local employment offices situated in Counties Sligo and Leitrim the numbers of persons in receipt of unemployment assistance, including those listed at these offices for such payments at post offices, in the week ended 24th July, 1970; small-holders in receipt of unemployment assistance are separately distinguished. The numbers in receipt of allowances of less than £1 per week are not available.
